The Visibility Problem

This isn't about employees being careless or insubordinate. It's about a fundamental gap between what organizations provide and what people actually need to get their work done.

When the official AI tool handles most workflows but not all of them, people don't just stop. They find their own solutions. They paste proprietary data into free AI chatbots. They upload confidential documents to platforms with unknown data handling policies. They build entire workflows around tools that IT has never evaluated, never tested, and never even heard of.

And because these tools are web-based SaaS platforms, every single interaction creates a data trail on someone else's servers. Every prompt, every uploaded file, every conversation — stored on infrastructure your organization doesn't control.

Microsoft's data lets us do the math.
